Saanich: Exploring The Best Of The City

Both Saanich East and West have much to offer. I found numerous parks, restaurants, and shops. Visit this city for a relaxing on the beach or setting out on a heritage tour. There are so many things to do and see which makes Saanich a great destination for a vacation. Here are some of the things I enjoyed doing while I was in the city.

  • Relax at the beach

Spend some time at Cadboro Beach and relax. It is the most popular beach where you can have a picnic with your family. If you are traveling with kids, they can have fun at the playground at zip line, octopus slide, and swings. What I like the most is that sandy beach also has a Cadboro Bay Village in the English style.

  • Take a walk along water

Want to spend some quiet time? Take a walk along Cordova Bay shores. The view of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State is a visual treat. There are some extensive trails that you can check out. Breathing in the fresh air among the lush green trees and wildflowers are an unforgettable experience. Reach the top of the trail to get a stunning view from a height of 213 meters. If you want to cool off, come down to the sandy beach.

  • Smell the fragrant flowers

Your trip to Saanich is going to be incomplete if you do not visit the Butchart Gardens. It had been established in the year 1907. The first area inside the garden had been designed by Isaburo Kishida. The garden has a footfall of millions of people every year. What surprised me is that this place houses two gardens, the Italian Garden and the Japanese Garden. You will also find fountains and ponds. The children’s pavilion has a carousel. So, you are going to have a great time with your family.
